    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of evidence-based talk therapy that allows an individual a safe space to process their current life situations with a focus on changing unhealthy behavioral patterns.

    Anxiety

Anxiety is characterized by thoughts of worry and fear that interrupt everyday life, and the root cause can vary by individual. Talk therapy has been proven to aid in reducing symptoms of anxiety.

    Depression

Depression, like anxiety, can look different for every individual, and can develop due to internal or external circumstances. It is characterized by emotional symptoms such as long-term sadness and loss of interest, as well as physical symptoms like low energy, lack of concentration, and poor sleep.

    Life Transitions

The seasons of life are ever-changing, and we can underestimate the effect those changes bring to our mental health. Both positive and negative life transitions like retirement, having children, loss of a loved one, and an unforeseen medical diagnosis, can alter our emotional wellbeing.

    ADD/ADHD Counseling

ADD/ADHD symptoms can manifest from childhood, through adulthood and look different in every individual. It’s more than just a hyperactive child, it’s can also look like a  professional struggling to meet work deadlines, a mom feeling overwhelmed by the demands of caring for her family, or a person asking themselves “why does everything seem so much harder for me than everyone else.”  Counseling can address these struggles using methods like CBT and mindfulness.

    Couples Counseling

Relationships are complex and relationship issues can cause damage when left unacknowledged. It’s natural for marriages to ebb and flow through out the seasons of the relationship, and couples counseling can provide a neutral environment to process the challenges that arise during those changing seasons.

    Pastoral Care

Pastoral Counselors serve clients of any or no religious affiliation by integrating the client’s spiritual beliefs and practices within a therapeutic process. A pastoral Counselor can provide the guidance, skill, and positive counseling relationship needed to promote psychological and spiritual growth towards becoming whole.

    Maternal Health

While growing your family can be a wonderful and exciting experience, meeting their needs can be very physically and emotionally demanding. These demands on parents can lead to additional mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, postpartum PTSD, and postpartum psychosis. A therapist can act as an external support system to process the changing individual and family identity and dynamics.
