Elizabeth Nichols is the owner and therapist of Counseling Pointe Counseling. She Graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Experimental Psychology. In 2013, she completed dual Master’s Degrees in Divinity and Mental Health Counseling from Gardner-Webb University. She then went on to obtain her professional counseling license in North and South Carolina.
In 2015 Elizabeth co-founded a successful group counseling practice outside of Charlotte, NC. The practice grew to 20 employees and offered more than 10 specialty counseling services. During 2021, Elizabeth and her family felt a pull towards the SC coast, where she fondly remembered spending her childhood summers. After much deliberation and prayer, she, her husband, and their two small children relocated to Pawleys Island to be closer to family and to offer their children a supportive community and slower pace of life.
Elizabeth founded Coastal Pointe Counseling to continue her life’s work of restoring hope and supporting the community through her counseling services. Elizabeth knows every client has unique counseling needs, therefore, she utilizes several integrative therapeutic approaches such as Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Person-Centered Theory, Narrative Theory, and Solutions-Focused Theory.
