    Anxiety

    Anxiety is an interruption.

It interrupts our relationships, work productivity, positive experiences and ultimately it interrupts our peace.

Anxiety is characterized by symptoms of:

    • Thoughts of worry
    • Fear that interrupts everyday life
    • Difficulty Sleeping
    • Change in appetite
    • Inability to feel relaxed or calm
    • Trouble focusing
    • Irritability
    • Avoiding unfamiliar places or social settings
    • A continual feeling that something bad could occur

When anxiety feels overwhelming there is a chance an individual may try to find solace in drinking, overworking, or other self-destructive behaviors in order to distract from those feelings. These aren’t long-term solutions, and can even further perpetuate the symptoms of anxiety. Therapy can help an individual address the root cause of anxiety and work towards healthier thought patterns, coping skills, and improve overall quality of life.
